The Correspondence School New Zealand's biggest state school

May 20, 2026 7:00 a.m.

Thank you for the invitation to introduce Te Aho O Te Kura Pounamu (New Zealand's biggest state school) to your members and explain what we do. We began 104 years ago as a way to serve geographically isolated learners but now provide early childhood, primary and secondary education to the many students for whom face to face learning is not an option.

There will be a short slide presentation with some general facts about Te Kura and then I will talk about  our particular connection with the Hutt region and take questions time permitting.
