With over 40 years in the software industry, including eight years with IBM New Zealand, Rumi Shivaz brings a wealth of expertise in helping organizations implement fit-for-purpose, cost-effective software solutions. 

Having owned and operated two software companies, Rumi has served an impressive roster of clients, including multinational corporations such as BP, Sony, Panasonic, Daimler Chrysler, and Coca-Cola to name a few. 

In New Zealand, his contributions have spanned both public and private sectors, working with organizations like ACC, the Department of Conservation, KiwiRail, the NZ Transport Agency, and ANZ Bank etc. 

Currently, Rumi is focused on working with senior management teams in companies pursuing ambitious growth goals, to leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence to enhance customer experience, productivity, and profitability.

In addition to his IT consulting work, Rumi is also a professional photographer, specializing in producing outstanding headshots for websites, publications such as annual reports and social media platforms especially LinkedIn. 

A dedicated community volunteer, he contributes regularly at Kaibosh Food Rescue and Koha Café in Petone. 

Beyond work, his interests include motorcycling, playing the piano, and international travel
