Manaaki Ability Trust (once known as Hutt Valley Disabled Resources Trust) have been in the business of supporting those with Intellectual Disabilities since 1981. Originally operating sheltered workshops, Manaaki's focus has changed over the years and they now support and enable those with intellectual disabilities to live independent fulfilling lives, including opportunities for volunteering and employment. Programme Manager, Louisa Kelly, will be sharing some key objectives and success stories, as well as highlight some of the barriers that their clients face in finding employment.
